Our School Expectations - The 3Rs
At our school, our three core expectations—Respect, Responsible, and Ready to Learn—guide everything we do. They are simple, consistent, and easy for children to understand, helping to create a safe, positive, and focused environment where everyone can thrive. These values are taught, modelled, and reinforced throughout the day to support not only good behaviour but strong character development.
Being Respectful means treating others as you would like to be treated—speaking kindly, listening carefully, and taking care of our school and everyone in it. Being Responsible means taking ownership of our actions, making good choices, and helping to look after our belongings and shared spaces. Being Ready to Learn means coming prepared, showing focus and enthusiasm, and giving our best effort, even when things feel challenging.
These expectations are at the heart of our school culture. They help every child understand what is expected of them and give a shared language that supports both learning and behaviour. When children live out the 3Rs, they not only help create a calm and respectful school community, but also develop essential life skills they will carry with them beyond the classroom.
